EARTHQUAKES
Charles Chandler has what I think is the best explanation of the cause of Earthquakes at http://qdl.scs-inc.us/9981 . I'd like to see his material get published somewhere like at
http://NCGT.org
. I don't know what NCGT members' main view on plate motions is. Is it possible to doubt that plates exist and move against each other? Charles' model says the plate motions cause quakes electrically.
See GPS—Measuring Plate Motion https://www.iris.edu/hq/files/programs/ ... ground.pdf
I asked Charles: Do you think plate motions are the only cause of earthquakes? What about earthquakes in the Himmalayas? Do plate motions reach there?
IRIS may be a good site to do searches on geology articles. Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology https://www.iris.edu/hq/inclass/search#type=1
There's a video at the following link that considers deep quakes under the Aleutians to be evidence of subduction of continental crust to great depths. I asked Charles: What do you make of that data? I asked because I don't think he accepts subduction as real. I know I don't.

EVIDENCE OF NOVA CATACLYSM
Mike someone on this forum sent me a link to a video. I just happened to see part of the same video the day before. It's called "Causes of the Ice Ages" at youtube.com/watch?v=PS_yq19Af-s . See e.g. at 18 min. re solar nova fission tracks in Moon dust. However, I believe it's better evidence that Saturn went nova a few thousand years ago and caused that dust, as claimed by the Saturn Theory. The video channel has a number of videos, but this one may be of most interest. A coming video, part 4, may be good too.
The author claims that the Sun goes nova every 12,000 to 16,000 years, I think. And he says the next nova is due in less than 30 years. But I think he misinterprets the evidence. He judges by magnetic reversals, for one thing, but those more likely occurred over very short time spans, i.e. hours. Distinti showed that the magnetism in the previously magnetized strip of seafloor magma had a stronger influence than the polar magnetism on the magnetism of the next strip of magma, causing the next strip to have a reverse polarity. The magma strips formed as the continents moved apart due to the great impact off east Africa, as explained at http://NewGeology.us.
The above video seems to suggest that the fission tracks in lunar dust prove that the material that formed them came from the Sun, but I didn't see any explanation that they had to come from the Sun and could not have come from Saturn. Brown dwarf stars are known to go nova, but I don't think sun-like stars are known to do so.

Solar Flares: Origin and Threat to Our Civilization
_Considering new records of superflares of Sun-like stars and terrestrial records of possible
“paleo-solar-flares”, we must conclude that our Sun seems capable of producing giant solar
flares 10 to 100 times as strong as the Carrington event. In view of this solar flares emerge as
the possibly greatest threat to modern life on planet Earth.
